ASIA: Mt. Fuji 2016 (Day Tour)

The masjestic Mt. Fuji is an iconic tourist destination in Japan, and famous for its snowcap. The best time to visit Mt. Fuji for its snowcap and cold weather is during winter and spring. If you are an adventure seeker and into hiking, summer time is perfect for you.

We went there during spring time, and we witnessed the beautiful Mt. Fuji with clear skies. It was a lovely and sunny day but a bit chilly when we came. We were mesmerized with the vast array of beautiful Shibazakura flowers. It was really fascinating. Our jaws dropped for literally 5 minutes and kept saying "wow", "ang ganda", "grabe". It also took us a couple of hours to take heaps of pictures. Also, Spring time is the perfect season to visit if you also want to see Cherry Blossoms. They usually bloom by the end week of March to 1st week of April.

TIP:
If you opt to visit during winter, always check the weather. Sometimes, during that season, cloud covers up Mt. Fuji and your visit may turn to dismay. If that's so, book a hotel for a night, and see it in early morning.

How to get to Mt. Fuji?

You may travel by bus or train. We opted to travel by bus because it is much cheaper. It only costs Y1750 each adult. RESERVATION IS A MUST, especially during the peak season. We went to Shinjuku Bus Terminal a day before our trip, and reserved seats for a morning trip.

Always come 1 hour early before your scheduled time, and don't forget to bring snacks because it is a 2.5-hour travel.

Outside Kawaguchiko Station, there is a Shibazakura Liner that gets you directly to Shibazakura Festival Site. It costs Y2000 only for roundtrip ticket and park fee entrance.

If you want to travel by train (from Shinjuku station), buy a ticket bound to Otsuki station, and transfer to Kawaguchiko Station.

Where to eat?

There are food stalls on the site; just expect food to be pricey. I had chicken and fries, obvioulsy. Though there are a lot of food to choose from, the queues are just so long. I was so hungry, and I didn't want to queue that long. Haha
