Getting around Hong Kong is incredibly easy thanks to the accessible transportation options like buses and trains. I highly recommend getting an Octopus card at the airport. This card can be used for public transport, retail shops, fast food restaurants, convenience stores, and more! It costs HK$150 for adults (which includes a HK$50 deposit and HK$100 in stored value). You can refund the HK$50 deposit and any remaining balance as long as you keep that HK$50 on the card when you return to the airport.
Additionally, Hong Kong is a Wi-Fi haven! Uploading pictures to social media is a breeze. Haha!
How to get there?
Where to stay?
We stayed at Chung King Mansion in Tsim Sha Tsui, which was the most affordable option we could find. The room was quite small, as was the bathroom, but the bed could comfortably fit two people. If you’re particular about space or prone to claustrophobia, I wouldn’t recommend this place. However, it's a great spot to crash after a long day of sightseeing, especially if you're on a tight budget. We booked our stay for just P5,378.28.
There's also a travel agency located on the ground floor of Chung King Mansion where you can purchase cheaper tickets for attractions like Disneyland, Ocean Park, Ngong Ping 360 Village (Cable Car), Madame Tussauds, and more!
